The following Teacher Education Preparation Program Workshops are now available on Brightspace: SAVE, DASA, Child Abuse Identification (CAI), Fire/Arson (FA), and Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD). If you are enrolled in a Teacher Preparation Program, you should be able to access these workshops in Brightspace through the “Teacher Education Preparation Program Workshop” organization. If you have difficulty accessing or completing the workshops, or do not see this organization, please contact the Teacher Certification Office. Please be sure to include your full name and Banner ID in any email correspondence.

Workshops are program requirements and MUST show as complete in Degree Works before your program is considered complete. Your degree will NOT be awarded unless the program is considered complete. Although some workshops may show on your TEACH account, they DO NOT need to show on TEACH if you are completing an approved teacher preparation program. The college recommendation that is (or will be) posted to your TEACH account after your degree has been listed as awarded in Banner will serve as NYSED verification of workshop completion.

The following workshop is required for ALL teacher preparation programs, including Undergraduate, Graduate, SBL/SDL, TESOL, Bilingual Education and CWBL:
