Each state has unique requirements for teacher certification/licensure. To find out the requirements for a specific state, please access the Department of Education homepage for that state.
OUT-OF-STATE EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAM VERIFICATION
If you need to verify the completion of a Buffalo State-approved teacher preparation program for certification purposes in another state, please submit an online Student Release of Records Form. In addition to the release of records form, we will need the out-of-state verification form for your new state with any personal information sections completed by you. You may either email the out-of-state verification form to teachercertification@buffalostate.edu or mail the out-of-state form, along with a stamped envelope containing the address to which you would like the verification mailed once complete, to the TCO at the address below.
